Welcome to 16th St. Yuma
MCAS Yuma offers two communities to choose from. On-station units range from 2 bedroom, 1 bath to 4 bedroom, 2 ½ bath, single family homes. The 16th Street Housing Community features spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bath units just seven miles from the station.
Each community has been newly built or renovated in 2002. Homes come equipped with central air, gas range, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a refrigerator. On-station homes include either a covered carport or garage.
With the exception of 16th Street second-floor units; Yuma is a pet-friendly community, with a two-pet maximum. Amenities include two pools, 23 covered tot lots, a multi-function club house and a gym located in the 16th street housing office. Among other conveniences, the base features a Burger King®, Subway®, GNC, a Main Exchange, Commissary and a Travel & Ticketing center.
Nearby outdoor activities include: the Butter Cup Sand Dunes, Lake Martinez, the Colorado River and Wetlands Park; with major shopping centers, restaurants, schools and recreation available in nearby Yuma Palms. In addition to an on-station medical base, Yuma Regional Medical and Urgent and Prime Care Facilities are situated within a five-mile radius from the station.
