Located in Southern California’s Imperial Valley County, the homes of the El Centro communities are but a 25-minute drive from the Mexican border.  A small, intimate community, El Centro makes up for its size with a wide range services and amenities on base, including a commissary, Navy exchange, medical and dental clinics, recreational activities, as well as a club reserved for officers and enlisted members.

This pet-friendly community welcomes a maximum of two pets per household which can be either cats or dogs.

Other amenities include an MWR with a theater, Internet café, the Mirage Club, and a popular water park, skate park and bowling alley.  K-12 public schools lie just outside the gate in Seeley, CA.  San Diego—California’s second largest city—and Palm Springs are a two-hour drive away.

Nearby attractions include numerous parks, the World Commemorative Center, the Desert View Tower in Jacumba, and the Rio Bend Golf Resort.
