The South Mesa I Community is located on base, approximately 3 miles from the front gate of Camp Pendleton and Interstate 5, and a few miles from the Del Mar beach and Oceanside Pier.

Each duplex-style, three and four bedroom unit comes unfurnished with a gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a washer/dryer hook-up. All homes have a two-pet maximum, and include a small patio and an attached garage with a door opener. Amenities include a pool, several tot-lots, a gym and a multi-purpose community center.

The great location of South Mesa I means that shopping, duty stations and attractions such as Legoland, Plaza Camino Real Mall and Carlsbad Premium Outlets are just minutes away. The 22 mile-long SPRINTER offers North County residents a green transportation alternative to fifteen different stations. There are a number of local elementary and high schools around South Mesa I, with LAX and San Diego Airport under two hours away.
