Located on the northern tip of San Diego, Camp Pendleton is the world’s largest U.S. Marine Corps Amphibious Training Base. Adjacent to the seaside town of Oceanside, Camp Pendleton is commonly referred to as a recreational paradise and includes a military community of over 36,000 spanning more than 125,000 acres.

With local and surrounding places of interest that include 3.5 miles of white sandy beaches, Oceanside Harbor and Pier—featuring the longest wooden pier in California, three golf courses, Guajome Regional Park, Mission San Luis Rey de Francia, and the Buena Vista Audubon Society Nature Center; there’s much to explore and experience. The area also boasts a number of military campgrounds, including the popular San Onofre Recreation Beach.

Referred to as the gateway between metropolitan San Diego and Los Angeles, Oceanside provides easy access to all of Southern California’s major family attractions, including Disneyland, Knottt’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the world-famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Sea World San Diego and LEGOLAND California.
